Do you have neck or back pain from sitting at a computer for hours at a time? Try these things the next time you get a break from your computer. Better yet, set a reminder every hour to try 1-2 of these of these.
Seated Stretches:
- Cat cow
- Trunk rotation
- Chin tucks with neck ROM
- Overhead stretch
Floor Stretches:
- Cat cow
- Open books
- Thread the needle
- Child’s pose
Standing Stretches:
- Overhead stretch
- Modified prayer stretch
- Downward dog
- Deep squat

Also important:
- Stay hydrated! Try adding electrolytes if you’re having to empty your bladder more than every 2 hours.
- Make sure your screen is eye level
- You have adequate low back support
- Your arm rests, keyboard & mouse should sit where your elbows naturally fall
- Your feet should reach the floor
- BUT: also feel free to sit in a variety of different positions
- The key is to not stay in any one posture for too long
